LARKANA: The employees of Town Committee Sijawal Junejo held protest demonstration in front of Bhutto mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Baxon Sunday demanding restoration of the status of Town Committee of their village and payment of their monthly salaries.
The protestors were holding placards. They said their families are unable to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha because salaries were not released to the employees of the town committee. They were accompanied by the residents and notables of the town including Khalid Magsi, Akhtar Tunio, Abid Magsi, Riaz Junejo, Wazir Bhutto, Aslam Bhand, and Yasin Jarwar.
They went inside the mausoleum and loudly said “Oh Shaheed Bibi, your chief ministers, ministers, MNAs, MPAs and other party leaders are depriving your brothers of their right to live despite that PPP always given employment to people and never snatched it from anyone.
“But your current party leaders have not only snatched town committee status of our village Sijawal Junejo but also they are trying to render us unemployed”.
Then they reached at the residence of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Naundero and held protest demonstration once again at the main gate. They said that 90 million rupees are in the bank account of the TC yet they have been denied their monthly salaries, which is tragic. They demanded high level probe into the affairs of the town committee, including allocation and utilization of released funds.
